March
22, 2003 I actually went out and shot pictures
today...REAL pictures! I shot the anti-war protests downtown. It was fun
as hell. I miss shooting that kind of stuff. I EVEN used film...Tri-X
as a matter of fact! I brought along the Pencam for a little instant gratification
though. As much as I'm sure I'll like the pictures I'm already dreading
having to get the film processed and borrow a scanner just to get them
online. I think if I shoot it next week I'm gonna try to borrow a friends
D30. Shooting was fun but it was a bit disturbing to see people being so hard headed over their views. Granted...everyone should be able to express their views the way they see fit, but the majority of people don't seem to understand the simple fact that yelling at each other and name calling isn't going to help their cause in the least. Everyone, even the extremists, in each group has their heart in the right place but very few seem to be able step back and take a look at things from any other point of view than their own. NOTHING is EVER as cut and dry as it seems. Why can't people see that? While a few people on both sides made asses of themselves I have to say I was most disappointed with the anti-war protestors as a whole. I'll just leave it at that because I have way too many images and sound bites floating around in my head from today to put them into words. |
