February
21, 2003 I was suposed to go to Nevada with
a few friends from Sparky's today to shoot guns. Turns out mother nature
had different plans and commenced to piss all over our plans. A new plan
was hatched immediately to drive to Mexico for lunch...lobster to be exact.
And all the way down past Ensenada to a little coastal town called La
Bufadora. OK...I keep staring at the keyboard trying to think of what to type next, but nothing is coming to me. Let me just say that it was one of the most amazing places I've ever been and I didn't want to leave. Google it and read some of the stories that come up if you really want to know about the place. I did take the PenCam so there are a few pics, but they don't do the place justice. And then there's the Rattlesnake Tequila! Yep, that's a real snake in there with its belly cut open to let all the good stuff out. The lady that gave us our first shots when we came in just dunked the ladel in there and filled our glasses. BIG glasses BTW. I took one shot and my face almost jumped off my head. I'm NOT a tequila drinker, but I had to try this just BECAUSE. Jason actually liked it. I believe "smooth" is the word he used. I'd rather choke down rocks myself than drink that stuff again. When he went back for a second glass Chewy(sp?), the bartender made sure to slosh it up real good to get all the little snake bits floating around in it before pulling Jason's drink out. I can't wait to go back and do a little camping there. Hell...I might even try some more Rattlesnake Tequila! |
